Stan Cichon

Bob Kerr rose to give a profile of club member Stan Cichon. It turns out Stan really is from Saskatchewan, where he owned the fictitious and amusing Sask Air.

Stan joined Calgary West in 1988. He was a high school principal for 36 years. He had the reputation of turning troubled schools around and producing kids who enjoyed school and got the grades to prove it.

He has three children with wife Barbara, and together they enjoy five-and-a-half grandchildren. Stan and Barb are currently out of the kid-raising business and are into the business of raising Simmental cattle.

Stan had been asked to stand while Bob read all this out, and was looking an interesting cross between embarrassed and pleased.
