A couple of the committees have goals that are a bit unique to this year;

Public Relations - Chair: Garfield Ganong

  • Create an awareness of club activities among club members.
  • Provide PR support to fund raising and major event initiatives.
  • Help to create a public image conducive to membership development.
  • Create a crisis communication plan to help deal with emergencies.
  • Good progress is underway to the meeting of these goals.
Website - Chair: Bill Lawless
The committee is working on a number of improvements to the website to make it more informative, attractive and useful. The intention is to make the website the main communications tool for our members and to the public. Some of these things;
  • Greater use of pictures.
  • Distribution of bulletins via the website.
  • Highlighting of upcoming events.
  • Interactive ability.
Foundations - Chair: Bill Quinney
The committee has begun its program of promoting support for both foundations. At the meetings for November the committee is setting up a table in our meeting room with signage at one end, indicating the CRCF, and at the other end the RI Foundation. There will be a committee member at each end and they will, over the course of November, try to speak with as many members as possible to make sure they understand the two foundations specifically and how they compliment each other as well as how they can contribute. They will also have all the necessary forms on hand to facilitate contributions to both foundations, including doing contributions by monthly deductions from bank accounts or charges to credit.
