He explained how his mother had talked to him about her "experience of a lifetime" when she was an exchange student from Brazil to the United States. He was inspired enough to apply and was assigned to the Calgary West Club.

Now preparing to return to Brazil, he enthusiastically recalled his snowboarding and canoeing experiences, visiting Mexico to assist in a Rotary project, traveling to Yellowknife and interacting with other students in the Rotary Youth program. He finished with an emotional expression of thanks and gratitude to all.
