Liz Jamieson
Liz Jamieson
Liz was born and raised in Ottawa. She attended the University of Western Ontario in London where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree, and then to Queens University for a teaching degree.

When Liz graduated teaching jobs were hard to come by, so she headed out west to Calgary.

Liz began as a band director in a junior high school, and then switched to elementary for the rest of her career.

Teaching music was exhausting, so administration seemed like a worthy alternative to pursue. She received her MEd from Gonzaga University in the US, and moved up the ranks in the Calgary Board of Education, spending the last 13 years as principal of four schools.

Liz retired this past June from Midnapore Elementary.

Originally from Saskatoon, Jamie spent most of his childhood in Calgary, and is excited about marrying college sweetheart Jenna, also from Calgary, this April.

Jamie played five years of varsity basketball with the SAIT Trojans and the University of Calgary Dinos. He was team captain all five seasons, as well as a three-time league all-star and four-time Academic All-Canadian.

Jamie is committed to giving back to the community from which he was the beneficiary of such wonderful support throughout his youth, currently volunteering as a coach with two community basketball teams, as a youth mentor through the University of Calgary and as a board member for the Catholic Family Service and the Unlocking Potential Foundation.
