Atsikana Pa Ulendo (Girls on the Move)
Secondary School:

"As educators, we firmly believe that it is only through educating young girls that the cycle of poverty, malnutrition, disease, and abuse, can be broken. Indeed we have proven this ourselves over the past 10 years by supporting our 24 former students in their journey to complete their education and become independent, self-sustaining young women.

Atsikana Pa Ulendo (Girls On The Move) Secondary school in Malawi, is giving our students a reason to believe in themselves. The combination of healthy food, a warm bed, use of a mosquito net to protect them from malaria, clean water, a learning environment where they are respected and are safe from abuse by male peers and teachers, high expectations from their teachers, and a female director who can provide them with the role model they desperately need, is changing these girls forever.

They are becoming happy, bright eyed, energetic girls who are, for the first time, capable of setting goals for their future. For the first time, these girls can dream and actually have a chance of living to see their dreams come true."
