| Jan Thompson started the whole idea of Hearts and Hands in Guatemala. Calgary West joined in through Clarence and Evelyn Buckley's participation building stoves, classrooms, kitchens and latrines. Jan travels to Guatemala about four times a year to see the partnership continues to work under her direction.
When an embarrassed and surprised Jan was made a Paul Harris Fellow from her admirers from Calgary West Rotar she was very pleased to be recognised and honoured. from the March 18 Weekly Westerner Bulletin reported by Lynne Thornton |
