$5,000.00. To support the building of a security fence. This is a collaboration with Calgary Stampede Park, Calgary East and Calgary Sarcee Rotary clubs totaling $30,000.00.

The Emergency Shelter is a 50-bed, 15-bedroom facility at a confidential location in the community where women and children can receive shelter and support.

At any given time, the Emergency Shelter is at capacity and housing 15 families fleeing danger and crisis. On average, clients stay at the Emergency Shelter for 30 days.

Recent attempted auto break-ins and neighbourhood safety breaches have necessitated our pursuit of a safer parking lot area for Emergency Shelter clients.

This project ensures the safety of the disadvantaged families affected by family violence and abuse who stay in our Emergency Shelter while rebuilding their lives. Our Shelter houses nearly 600 people annually.
